Sunday, May 5, 2013 - Barolos (Becky's House): Very dark red color. Decanted 3 hrs. Drank 1 glass over 2 hours. This was an impressive wine, very complex and exciting. The nose shows scorched earth, vanilla bean, dry wood, leather, briary. The palate is elegant, mint, bright berry, medium body, lots of anise, oak, spices, long finish. All of this is wrapped up around a core of currently grippy tannins. My WOTN and group #2 WOTN. 94(+)pts
