Friday, May 15, 2015 - At the PEF dinner at our house. Decanted for about 2 hours, drank over 2. This was served with a tenderloin w/port sauce, Drank next to a PNV Napa Howell at the Moon - for contrast on two very different wines.

deep brick red color. Nose of dark fruits, burnt caramel and herbs... beautuful during the decant, really jumped out during the pour. Palate was a savory blend of blackberry, black cherry, kirsch, herbs de provence, spices, peppercorn, garrigue. Long and nuanced finish

CdP in 06 was generally considered an "off" vintage. This wine is certainly hitting stride, very impressive showing for a classic CdP. Great now, my guess is it will continue to improve. My WOTN
