90 Points

Saturday, February 17, 2024 - Brought by Brandon. Wasn't able to take notes on the night of. This note is on day 2 (02/18/2024) from left overs in 187 ml bottle. Nice aromas of flint, mild sea spray, ripe apples and minerals. Palate with nice ripe apples, some pears, a bit of saline, chalk and minerals. Medium+ body with nice acids. A nice, lingering finish. This is nice but also tastes young. I imagine some short term aging with bring the wine together more and add more depth. But this is the wine that introduced me to assyrtiko over 15 yrs ago. Fond memories and the wine still delivers, although the frame seems a bit bigger now than it was back then. My last Sigalas assyrtiko was in 2016 and just as enjoyable. 90+ for now with a nice upside.
