Thursday, August 19, 2010 - Still quite a depth of rich Zin colour, although showing a greater thinning towards the the edge now than when I last drank this wine 2 years ago. The nose full of exotic, warm spice, smoky tabacco leaf and aged leather - wonderful and fully open. The palate immediately full of depth and complex sweet, chewy forest fruits and nuts such as brambles, blueberries, walnuts and roasted chesnuts, coating and filling the mouth with a myriad of flavours. Lovely lingering finish too. The usual reliable and, in my view, much underrated Geyserville. A very good wine. Drink and enjoy now or for another 5+ years. So glad I bought this case 10 years ago, as I've always had a soft spot for Geyserville - sadly only 4 bottles left now.
