Wednesday, March 6, 2024 - Medium-deep ruby red in color. Full, fragrant & attractive nose of ripe fruit aromas of red cherries, strawberries & plums with overtones of earthy/dusty & floral notes of violets, dried herbs, spices, anise, tar, minerals & hints of cedar & balsamic notes in the background. Medium bodied with a very good concentration of well balanced & smooth textured, ripe fruit flavors of sour red cherries, plums & strawberries with dried herbs, spices, earthiness & minerals. Lingering finish. Drinks well at present with decanting & extended airing but should develop further with additional aging. This Felsina appears to be richer & fuller than the 2020 vintage.
