Saturday, April 5, 2008 - Four quick tastes at the Carlisle pick up. The RRV Syrah greeted us with a lovely floral nose of blackberry and faint but deeply seated game notes. The palate and finish were deep and long with black fruits, rhone spice, and very nice whole cluster accents and structure. This one isn’t ready either but is nearly as outstanding as the Carlisle Vineyard Zin.
