Thursday, March 1, 2018 - Drank at 67PM

Not only was this a classic Ch. Margaux in the first 90 minutes - silky, floaty and super finessed - but, after a couple of hours in the decanter, began to take on some peppery notes both on nose and palate which was a real surprise, albeit a welcome one. I had to ask Terry, the Head Sommelier at 67PM, whether I was hallucinating and whether he believed it to be a genuine specimen. Fortunately he answered “no” and “yes” in that order. Exceptional wine.
