Friday, March 15, 2019 - Drank at home.

Ding ding. Bonhams delivery. Bother. Now I have to choose between a '83 Palmer, '85 Haut Brion and '85 Margaux on a Friday night.

The latter won by virtue of my having two bottles. And boy was I not disappointed.

Flowers and funk at the start developed in to a wonderful nasal elixir. The wine left my nostrils tingling.

The palate grew and grew for three hours (after which the wine was finished) and exuded silk and femininity that all great Margaux do.

A belter.

Always a pleasure. Never a chore.
