Saturday, February 2, 2008 - 2005 Chandon de Briailles Burgundies (Vineyardgate, Millbrae, CA): (Blanc) White fruits, ginger and spice on the nose. Lively palate with fresh green apple, spice, crisp acidity, and some midpalate oiliness, perhaps from oak. Nothing extracted or oaky about the wine though. Very fresh and delicious, my only complaint is a touch of spirity heat.
