While the structure is still impeccable, the wine doesn’t have the depth to be in the 95 pts spectrum. Solo, following the wine over several hours might have revealed more nuances but in this setting this was 92/93 pts at best. Still, this was a wonderful experience.
TN: Medium intense nose with loads of spices and dried red fruit (I prefer fresher fruit). Better on the palate with spices, tar and roses, dreid red fruit and minerality. Good precision but medium complexity only. Melted tannins but still with good tension and a high freshness. Good, nicely creamy texture. Medium length.
Decanting: Double decanted 3 hours prior to drinking which helped to open the wine up.
