Friday, April 14, 2023 - 230323 - impromptu dinner withthe usual Vino heads in MYS
Another aged American giant sourced by Joe. Super privileged that my first Insignia is a 22 year old bot. This is initially muted and dumb which restrained to take a sip. The bitter & gritty tannins took almost 2 hours of aeration & swirling in the glass to open up. Sweet cassis, licorice, jammy fruit notes, mocha & hint of smoke. Multi layered & great intensity with elegantly polished finish.
