Friday, January 18, 2013 - Another excellent bottle of this wine, which is starting to confirm my belief that 2007 is a banner year for California (North Coast) pinot. Nose on this bottle was a bit muted -- with coaxing and air, revealing wild berry, anise, baking spice and a very slight note of citrus. In the mouth, smooth and voluptuous, with explosive flavors of wild berry and black cherry. Hard candy flavor across the mid palate, with a long, spicy finish, accented by a menthol note. Good stuff.
