Friday, December 26, 2014 - Wineferno Tokyo 2014 (La Rochelle Akasaka (Tokyo)): I was not even close in picking this one. I was way off on all accounts: grape, year and geography.
A fruity, flowery bouquet that also sports a bit of diesel fumes.
On the palate, the oak treatment steps forward a little bit and the whole creation has mellow acids and a very youthful feeling. The finish is abrupt and the wine doesn't fly. Quite delicious but no cigar.
