The nose was intense and elegant - hints of roses, layers of black currant and cherries, and a note of cola. The tannins were very silky and the balance of the wine was perfect, round. Decanting was an 'imperfect' way to deal with the fact that this was opened 5 years before when it's actually supposed to. At any rate, the flavors were intense and kept evolving in the glass. Great mid-palate mouth coating. Long finish...I can still remember the flavors! This should be opened again in 2015 and from then on, another 15 years
