Saturday, September 6, 2008 - The 03 version of this was off the charts, this is more restrained and compact but no less beguiling. Complex aromatics of meat, cherry, plum and iron. It is dense and possesses good weight yet beautifully proportioned in the mouth. It seems to get deeper and darker in the glass and finishes with pronounced liquorice and dark earth flavours. It too is beautifully crunchy thanks to some breezy acidity.
