Thursday, May 19, 2011 - Chateau Pontet Canet Vertical 1994-2004 plus 1990: I think this was the weekest wine of the vertical with relatively diluted aromas. On the other hand it was also the more fruit-forward. Medium bodied with signs of evolution despite its relatively young age it also had the driest tannins. Flavors included red fruit (something unusual for Pontet Canet), cedar, ink and also present was a green leafy dimension.
