1988 Faiveley Clos de la Roche

Community Tasting Note

Tuesday, February 15, 2011 - A slightly funky aroma laced with cherry liqueur & a hint of forest out of the gate. More life than the '88 Clos de Vougeot tasted earlier. More fruit & livelier acidity give it more freshness. Red fruit profile & medium tannins that are super-fine and barely register. This is fine, but uninspiring, clearly at the tail end of its drinking window, getting tired.
