Sunday, November 12, 2006 - Did everything right. Decanted an hour before drinking. Consumed it with the right food (wild mushroom and smoked duck risotto). The wine gives excellent return on the purchase price, under $30.00 as I recall, for an inexpensive barolo. Medium to dark ruby, red and blue fruit on the nose, velvety but youthful tannins and very bright acicity. It's a young, inexpensive, but well made barolo that drinks well now and should age gracefully for the next 5+ years.
