Friday, November 6, 2009 - Lots of licquorice and a bit of mint on the nose. A developed 'bordeaux feel'on the nose but it retains a chilean identity. It's not Chateau Latour but it's hard to think of a decent claret with this maturity for less than £60. it has new world fruit with a kind of old world balance. A much better choice for a decent steak than bordeaux competitors. (That last comment is unfair as it implies that all new-world bordeaux blends are somehow bordeaux imitations. This is so much more than that.)
