Notes: It's been a while since my last vintaged Bordeaux from the 50s. This bottle demonstrates excellent color and without a doubt it is in a pristine condition. It's still amazing for me after drinking for so many years that something at this age can still have so much fruit left and so coherent. Energetic is probably one of the keywords I have for this wine. This wine is a combination of passion and tenderness together. Definitely one of the nicer La Mission I've had that's fully mature but all of the nose, the color and the palate would argue back that this is a much younger version of itself and if I see another one in similar condition I will not hesitate to get another one. For sure one doesn't need to wait further to enjoy this spectacular wine nevertheless I do feel there could be another 10-15 years left in this wine.
