Saturday, May 27, 2017 - Medium straw to lighter golden color. Needs a few minutes to open up but then very complex and pretty aromatics of apricot, peach, flowery notes, mint, freshly cut apples, but also a lot of minerality (slate) and some lemon oil. It's lighter+ bodied with beautiful persistence and medium-high acidity as well as perfectly integrated sweetness. Excellent length. This still feels really young at age 10 and the first hint of tertiary notes like petroleum are just sneaking in. A textbook Spätlese from this great microclimate and excellent producer.
