87 Points

Wednesday, January 27, 2010 - Mostly opaque purple/violet. Nose of black currant, licorice, savory herbs, some interesting floral hints. Intense black fruit on the front palate. Savory herbs take over on the midpalate, persisting on the finish, with some minerality, and smooth dry tannin. A little out of whack, tastes almost salty at points, and gets a little overly dry/heavy/dull on the end. The oak is nicely restrained, but this could really use more acidity to freshen things up.
