Wednesday, March 27, 2013 - I'm all in on this wine. I've had other vintages and not been wowed at all but, this 2000 is the real deal with all of the advantages of the vintage at play. The nose is like that of a 15-20yr old BDX. The palate is velvety and sexy with vibrant raspberry, mineral and spicy flavors. The acid keeps this fresh and boyant. Wonderful complexity. I probably should score this wine even higher but who would think a $35 btl from the relatively generic Haut Medoc appellation could be so cool??? Terrific value here and totally ready to drink!
