Tuesday, February 7, 2017 - Another "forgotten bottle", this one in a bin I had not checked in a while. Big fan of Cliff Lede wines - mostly have "Rock Blocks" and Poetry in my cellar and tasting history. Given this was non-designate fruit, thought it might be gone...cork split and crumbled on the way out. Decanted and drank over 90 minutes
Color still good, starting to separate at the edge. Nose is red fruits, spice and oak. Dark cherry, earth. tobacco and cocoa on the palate. Oak and dusty tannins on the mid palate Medium weight and finish. Lacked depth on the finish. Probably past its prime but still a decent Cab. Would drink over next 2 years
