Sunday, May 3, 2015 - Medium red ruby in color with slight clearing at the edges. Forward, attractive & fragrant nose of developed & mature, complex, ripe fruit aromas of red cherries, strawberries & red currants with earthy & floral overtones, mushrooms, hints of sous-bois, kirsch, exotic spices notes of cinnamon & clove, dried herbs, some tobacco, minerals and just a slight hint of vanilla in the background. Medium bodied with a very good concentration of smooth textured, balanced, complex, developed & mature, ripe red fruits flavors of cherries, raspberries & currants with earthy, mushrooms, spices, minerals, herbs and a touch of vanilla. Long lingering finish. Drinks quite well at present and it may be close to its peak of development although it may continue at this current plateau for several additional years if cellared properly.
