The last bottle of this wine resident in my "Lost Cellar" this wine was initially quite rusty but deepened in the bottle to a deep cherry red after 3 hours with the bottle open in the cellar. The nose evolved in that time to reveal delicious notes of dark cherries, strawberry, rose, sous-bois and all-spice. The palate was medium weight with a lovely intense and complete character leading into a fine finish with plenty of poise. There was a lovely ball of fresh fruit at the centre of the palate made more complex by the features of maturity. These 96's seem timeless yet beautifully evolved. They all need time open or gently decanted to show their best.

Another lovely 96 Red Burgundy, this wine was initially quite rusty but appeared to deepen in the glass after 4 hours with the bottle open in the cellar. The nose evolved in that time to reveal delicious notes of tart cherries, strawberry, rose, earth and all-spice. The palate was medium weight with a lovely soft and complete character leading into a fine finish with plenty of poise. A last glass the next night after decanting to a 375ml bottle and sealing was still fresh and the fruit even more delineated. The mystery of Burgundy never ends !

This wine is seriously surprising. It is ripe, it has the slightly earthy aromas of a Nuits but it has clean fruit as well. Good acidity and depth go together with complexity. I guess this wine will still be good for the next 5 to 10 years.

Medium red ruby in color with slight clearing at the edges. Forward, attractive & fragrant nose of developed & mature, complex, ripe fruit aromas of red cherries, strawberries & red currants with earthy & floral overtones, mushrooms, hints of sous-bois, kirsch, exotic spices notes of cinnamon & clove, dried herbs, some tobacco, minerals and just a slight hint of vanilla in the background. Medium bodied with a very good concentration of smooth textured, balanced, complex, developed & mature, ripe red fruits flavors of cherries, raspberries & currants with earthy, mushrooms, spices, minerals, herbs and a touch of vanilla. Long lingering finish. Drinks quite well at present and it may be close to its peak of development although it may continue at this current plateau for several additional years if cellared properly.

orange and murky appearance, fragrant with saddle leather, flowers and cherry pie crust on the nose, earthy and elegant, now soft and nuanced, balanced acid backs up matured hints of dried cherries, soil, black tea, nutmeg and dried strawberry chips on the palate, complex, singing a pleasant tune now, truly a classy representation of this vineyard

Brought to a dinner, didn't take detailed notes. Dropped into a decanter and tasted about an hour after that. This bottle was just singing. Murky in appearance the with nose and palate showing floral, earthy notes and dark cherry; fantastic mouthfeel to boot. Woke up the next morning still thinking about where I could find some more of this...I'm haunted.

At full family dinner at rn74 in SF. Decanted, consumed over a couple hours. Great nose of mixed fruits and secondary notes from the start. Strong off putting tobacco note in the mouth at first, thankfully this blew off to reveal a great wine. Really fun to watch over the course of dinner, really nice wine.

Excellent deep garnet/ruby color. Nose and taste a little thin on opening. Opened up quite nicely thereafter and eventually blossomed into something quite nice. Give the color, I doubt its about to fall apart but I also doubt it will improve. Drink now.

Very dark. Some burgundy funk on the nose. Earthy with some bacon fat and spice. Acidity pronounced on the finish. A bit 4-square and not a lot of complexity, but should improve with time.

Nose is lovely immediately, graceful and classy. airy dark fruit and spice, flowers too. and 15 minutes in, there is something gamy at the front. a complex and really lovely nose. the palate is also good, but not offering the complexity and interest of the nose. this could have been an acid bath, but it wasn't. it was nicely balanced and approachable, not sure that further cellaring is needed here.

Wonderful Burgundy nose -- spices, incense, rose petals, touch of clove. On the palate, red currants, lively acidity., a little hard candy. Warm finish, long glow, an extremely enjoyable wine. Others at the table, "say it was GOOD"

Crumbly but moist cork - wine was fine.
Very strong burgundian nose of hay, manure, and mature fruit (if you like that sort of thing) that lasted for several hours.
Probably slightly past its' peak but still enjoyable. Vanilla, tobacco, and earthly notes on the flavor palate
I have 2 more - I'd give it 12-18 months at most

Burgundy funk, earth and sous bois on the nose. Pretty good fruit and moderate acid on the backend compatible with the vintage.

Fully mature, this wine is not showing any signs of bricking or being past its prime. Very nice Burgundian bouquet.
