86 Points

Monday, October 13, 2008 - Popped and poured. Ruby hue. Aromas initially restrained and showing little more than simple red fruits with a slight floral touch. After a few hours the nose begins to expand and shows a touch of spice. Medium-light in mouth with simple red fruits, some spice and a streak of green. Well structured and balanced. Thirst quenching acidity makes this a refreshing quaff. In fact, those who enjoy a red with high, near-bracing acidity will undoubtedly enjoy this. On day 2 this wine still appeared to be in a slightly closed down state, probably needs a good 16-28 months of cellaring to show it's potential.
