Saturday, February 17, 2018 - Tampa Spring Break III; 2/16/2018-2/18/2018 (Tampa FL): Grabbed these by mistake when packing the wine for the trip - without reading glasses '06 and '09 look way too similar early in the morning. The good news is I think these are probably more firmly in their drinking window then the '09's so no harm done. The nose was a bit muted with some dark fruit, but not overly perfumed. On the palate the fruit leaned more to dark plums with almost an underlying sweet note coming through. Smooth dusty tannins, a hint of chocolate, good and very drinkable but not a stand out.

You seem to suggest it's in the drinking window. Do you think there's any harm in waiting 5-10 or would you suggest more like within 3 years?
