Sunday, April 26, 2015 - Reticent nose, surprisingly ripe for how light it is, but that lightness is deceptive, as is the reticence. Of course, deceptiveness is sort of a classic Musar hallmark. Gains great complexity on the nose with air, of warm berries and blood orange on top of the usual brett and wet wood. On the palate, sweetly ripe fruit, generous, with a very long finish. A sweet vintage of Musar (in the best sense) even though the growing season was not necessarily warmer than others. I think this shows great promise.
