Saturday, December 6, 2014 - Pale gold, nice lustre.
Deep citrus and honey fragrance, plump and tending towards tropical fruit. Pure and intense. A faint hint of spice, zesty minerality.
Ripe citrus fruits, honey, with a slightly spicy dried herb and mineral edge. Has softened but far more vibrant than 24 years might suggest. Fruit is still to the fore, and not a hint of kerosene, just a little oxidative spice coming through. Not the best bottle I've had (cork was saturated, possibly had some impact) but still a good one.
