Tuesday, May 31, 2016 - This was a relatively old bottle, purchased back in 2011 and has only been stored in the Euro Cave for about the past six months. Had definitely lost some of its carbonation, and was a rather dark yellow - almost amber - in color, but was surprisingly delightful to drink. Not nearly as sweet as the Cordon Rouge normally is when it's young. Very rich in texture and quite complex. Alluring notes of almonds, apricots and brioche linger deftly on the long silky finish. Unusually delicious and complex for a NV Champagne.
