Saturday, January 2, 2010 - My first Brunello exp. WOW! This is easily the finest Italian Sangiovese I have ever drank. Double-Decanted over 7 hours, and adjusted from some floral and farm -fields action to straight up sweet Cherry Blossoms! It only continued to open and show more and more Cherry, sweet cream, and mild herb. Oak there, but never obtrusive. Typical fine tannins offered this as a very dry Red, that paired beautifully with Cheeses. Particularly a goat cheese. We felt this wine actually enhanced the flavors in everything we paired with it. Overall, just a incredible bottle of wine.
