Sunday, October 28, 2007 - Greenblanket is somewhat conflicted about this wine. The bottle I opened seemed as fresh as a daisy with lots of nice Vouvray characteristics - honey, a bit of lanolin, minerals, flowers, citrus acidity, fall fruits - the whole deal. But somehow it leaves me just a bit flat even though the price is right and it's pretty cool to find Vouvray with this much age at a price that's attainable by an average guy like me. For this Teletubby it just doesn't achieve the harmonious balance that I seek in these wines. No more for me and I really don't know if I am passing on a Garagiste type fire sale or a great opportunity.
