Tuesday, August 24, 2010 - Deep purplish-red in color. Beautiflul, fragrant nose of black raspberry, kirsch, pencil shavings, earth and something a little "candy-ish". The only possible fault with the nose might be that its a little heavy on the volitile ETOH. Palate is clean & bright with dark red fruit...very reflective of palate, with beautiful, toasty vanilla & slight sweetness on the very long, and also very soft finish. Just a really delicious, heady example of new world Pinot Noir. It retails for around $40, but I found it in the "bin ends" for $15...I will happily buy this in the future for full retail...just lucked out this time!!!
