Tuesday, May 9, 2023 - Dark garnet in color with some clearing at the edges. Full, fragrant & attractive nose of ripe fruit aromas of cherries, blueberries & plums with overtones of earthy/dusty & tobacco & notes, leather spices, mint/eucalyptus, cocoa/coffee grounds, minerals, herbs & a hint of cedar in the background. Medium-full bodied of a very good concentration of well balanced & smooth textured, ripe fruit flavors of cherries, blueberries & plums, spices, herbs, minerals & a slight hint of oak/vanilla. Lingering smooth finish. Drinks quite well at present but at 41 years of age it appears to be at its peak of development although it shows no signs of going over the hill. Fill was in lower portion of neck; cork stained 1/8 up but intact.
