Thursday, June 8, 2023 - Dark toned nose with ripe fruit. The palate is ripe and very fruit forward, filled with dark chocolate, kirsch, raspberries, spices, umami, flowers (violets), red cherries, hints of garrigue and orange. No oak. Mellowed tannins, lowish acidity but the fruit has freshness despite the ripe character and this carries the wine nicely. Big round aftertaste. Enjoyable and drinking well now. To some this probability is a bit too much with the stewed type of fruit and high alcohol.
