Friday, May 24, 2013 - Very dark color. First pop, pour and gulp does nothing but give me some peppera and alcohol heat.
2 hours open it is much more a greanache dark plum and blackberry mixed with dry herbs and dirt.
The tannins seem softening and the acidity only about medium high.
Back end is velvety with peppar and plum skin. Dry and medium long

Open 3 hours more viscosity and rich flavour of dark fruit mixed with cinnamon and black hot pepper
How can a wine become more full bodied over timew. It must be me getting drunk :)

I detect or wish I do some licorice. Maybe it is in a awkward spot right now? the wine that is. The alcohol is very well integrated. Warmth, but no heat.
