Saturday, March 28, 2015 - Medium ruby, edging towards garnet. Nose of sweet blackberry, black raspberry, black cherry, black licorice, tomato leaf, wintergreen, minerals, vanilla, incense, and tar. Round and very smooth, with flavors of juicy black raspberry, black cherry, tobacco, anise, and tomato leaf. Went well with chicken marsala and especially well with smoked cheddar cheese.
