Wednesday, May 7, 2014 - Clear garnet with an interesting lavender rim. Shy nose of raw meat, ripe black berries and a little alcohol. The palate is powerful and tends towards savory and tannic, with lots of ripe dark fruit. The finish is also tannic and feels kind of alkaline. This is a rustic style of wine with big flavor but overall rather good balance, tasted rather young.
