Very elegant and not at all lean / austere like some Volnays can be. This is the first D'Angerville that has really lived up to the hype for me. Probably my fault though as I drank most of them too young. Note to self, sit on those 05s! This showed exceptional balance, depth and elegance. Mid weight at most but excellent concentration. Some more oaky reds showed up tonight and made it painfully obvious how well the oak was integrated here. Same btl as R&Ler. Great nose, great everything here! 92+/93-. Happy to have 2 more!
