I blinded my wife on this and within a minute, she confidently guessed new world Cabernet Franc 2009 vintage. She said California when prodded for an origin. I think that says a lot about the honesty and quality of this wine (and of my wife's great palate!).
This was quite an intense red, with acidity and Cab Franc fruit and herbaceousness (pyrazine?) that really delivered a punch to the palate. Not going to appeal to everyone as it's not what I'd call an "easy-drinker", but I really appreciate the wine making here. In great shape for its age and should hold for a few more years at least. If scoring, 88 - 90.
