Monday, February 5, 2024 - Tasted blind. Given the vintage a surprisingly extracted and ripe fruit. Elements of Maggi herbs as well as green fresh herbs and green bell pepper. Smoke and ash mineral notes. Top notes of violets. Layered and multi-facetted. A leathery palate, round with soft tannin. Otherwise fresh with density, a decent length finish and presence. This 2008 doesn’t have to hide from its 2009 counterpart in any way!
