It has mellowed since when I had it last in 2015. Nevertheless, the oak note is still quite strong both in the nose and the palate. The oak will definitely integrate a la Dominique Laurent burgundy. Although obviously no American oak, the oak may express as caramel in another decade or two, as in Bourbon and Riojas. If you don’t like luxurious oak/modern Bordeaux, avoid!
