Friday, September 20, 2019 - I don't really consider myself a Zin person but these old Ridges always make me reconsider. It is a bit more fruit forward than a lot of the wines on the table and easy to tell it is the 'new world' one, but I like some fruit in my wine. More of a darker almost raspberry meets boysenberry character. On the riper side and yet somehow the wine seems to capture the seeds that you get in those fruits that keeps them from being overly sweet. Very fun.
