Saturday, November 7, 2020 - Saturday lunch gathering (Bethesda, Maryland): Expressive nose displaying very ripe concentrated black fruit with a hint of red, black cherry, blackberry pie, dry cherry, fruitcake, licorice, rose, iron, balsamico, dark spices and earth. Exceptional concentration, layers upon layers of concentrated red and black fruit, rich and unctuous, bright acidity, earthy mineral, still showing noticeable tannins and a long concentrated black fruit driven finish with licorice and lather at the end. This remains very youthful and can improve for another decade or two as there is so much fruit.
