Friday, April 29, 2011 - Served with fish at Boca wine dinner featuring Tunuta Trinoro and Passopisciaro. I enjoyed the '06 Le Cupole at Esca last year in NY. This was my first taste of the '07. Purple color. Nose of cedar, spice, and blackberry. Ripe palate of spicy dark fruit and vanilla. Excellent length. Pleasant acidity. Sweet tannins. If I didn't know, I would have never guessed that this wine is mostly Cab Franc.
