Friday, May 13, 2022 - Bought a few of these recently because of the low price and tried one tonight- a very pleasant suprise - Happy Great Prayer Day!! 2007 Tenuta di Trinoro, Le Cupole - it’s finally a lovely long weekend and we are having roast pork with black rice salad! And wanted to try this 15 year old Tuscan wine. This is not normally our territory but as it turned out it went very well with dinner! Apparently this is a Bordeaux blend and based on Cabernet Franc. The colour is dee dark red with a slight bricking starting to appear on the rim. The nose has cherries, blackcurrants, plums, green bell peppers, tobacco, chocolate and cedar wood. In the mouth the wine is very soft, creamy and has loads of black cherries along with more chocolate and some tobacco.
