Friday, June 23, 2023 - A hotter vintage than usual so picked earlier yet still 12.7 ABV rather than 11 or less. Mid golden colour, with the usual Belford signature overlain by honey, caramel and toast. The higher alcohol shows in the warmth of the finish, which is also shorter than it should be. An old school Elliot style Belford, with a sweet/sour yet very ripe expression, picked early but at higher ripeness level so lacking some balance 17. A pasta or roast chicken Semillon. Day 2 more balanced as the fruit has grown. Some banana, and so old school, Lindeman HR WB in style 17.75.
