Initial burst of sweet fruit then takes a back seat to more herbal elements. High acidity that is very '96. Prickly finish. My experiences with this wine have been all over the map; this bottle was one of the better ones, which is to say that it is not bad but is rather disjointed and reminds one of a chemistry experiment in some ways. Surely not Grand Cru quality, that is clear. I did not shed a single tear when I realized this was my last bottle.
