90 Points

Saturday, October 23, 2010 - Youthful and vigorous, the nose of high-toned cherries, with damp earth, spice, and tobacco on the fringe, becomes more expressive with air. Medium-to-full bodied mouthfeel, with bright red fruit on the entry palate, and dark cherry/orange zest on the finish, supported by a nice, albeit slightly harsh tannic structure and ample acidity. While a fan of Fontodi, this might not be my favorite vintage (but it’s early for this one too – will revisit in a year or two).
